The goal of our research for this project is to develop technologies that can be applied to automate processes in the workplace, by providing better situational awareness, for example, localisation and mapping for robots, vehicles, and people, inference models for inferring or anticipating human behaviour, and innovative human-robot interaction techniques. Our two main research themes can be categorized as Human-Robot Interaction and Scene Understanding. These two linked themes fall under the broader heading of Workplace Autonomy. Specifically, for our initial testbed, we aim to apply our research for Emergency Services applications.
